They can search by modality and application number. For publication modalities (Mode inventions P-National Patent, W-International Patent, E-European Patenty U-Utility Model) Also appear on publication number .
In the case of international patents (PCT) you can enter the application number in the following format: PCT/CCaaaa/nnnnnn (present) or PCT/CCaaaa/nnnnn (to 2004) where CC are the two characters that indicate the country code, aaaa the year of filing and nnnnnn o nnnnn the application number.

Search by publication number is only possible in the following modalities of inventions: P- National patent, W- Internacional patent application, E- European patent and U-Utility model.
