| Abstract: | The invention relates to a distributed, hybrid energy storage system having high energy and power densities in order to allow the distribution of energy within the system, between different electric power micro-networks and with the electrical grid. According to the invention, the distributed, hybrid energy storage system allows consumption peaks to be managed adequately, power balances to be performed and the demand curve to be smoothed, as well as allowing voltage dips to be compensated, so that electric power can be managed in an efficient and reliable manner.
